"So long sweet summer..."

2 WEEKS?!!?
I only have 2 more weeks left of what was supposed to be the best summer ever? This can't be true...but every time I look at a calendar, I'm painfully reminded of that reality. I remember the last week of school, coming up with all these things I wanted to do this summer. Get a sweet tan, deep clean my room, go swimming all the time, burn shirts in the circle with my Sisterhood, or in the words of Gerald Garner (Heavyweights), I was gonna "hang out." But somehow I didn't really do any of that. Of course I did some fun stuff, but I feel like summer flew by way too fast. Now there's less than 2 weeks of it left. Kinda feels like it just started.

I'm sure you're wondering what I did all summer. Well, let me tell ya. The first half of summer went like this: wake up around 11, get semi-ready, go down to the barn...and paint. Then I'd get lunch with my parentals, and paint some more. Then usually go to work, come home, Facebook it, then go to sleep. Wake up, repeat. On July 3rd, we had our float in the Centerville parade, and on the 17th it was in the Salt Lake Children's parade. Since that took up most of my summer, I didn't have a lot of time to do all those things on my list. But I'll tell ya what I did do... My family went on a camping trip to Yuba Lake which, not gonna lie, kinda sucked. We ended up camping out in my sister's backyard, which turned out loads better. I was able to go to girls camp with my ward after going to the midnight premiere of Eclipse with my Israeli friend, Allie. I went to Cherry Hill with Kylie (but didn't find any cute lifeguards like I did last time we went), chopped 10 inches off my hair, went to the Days of '47 Rodeo for the first time, hung out with my sister and her family while they were here visiting from Kansas, witnessed a sweet cage fight in Payson where my sister's sister in law fought. Most recently, I went to the Danny Gokey concert with my mom and sisters. He signed my CD and my sister's chest. No big deal. That's my summer for ya.

Now I'm about to start my new life as a college student at the U. Super cool, eh? I'm blogging this on my new laptop, mooching wireless networks off of my neighbors. This year will be the last year that the Utes play BYU in football...the rivalry is almost over. On my bucket list I have a little something that says, "storm the field when the Utes beat the Cougars." It's gotta be a sign. This is the one and only year that it's possible for me to do that, so we all know that they will win.

Since the summer is almost over, I'm not really sure why I'm wasting my time blogging right now...So I'll end my post now. Blog on.
